JAMES FRANCIS SHERLOCK
James F. Sherlock, 50, of 111 Saginaw St., Beaverton, died suddenly
Thursday, Feb. 3, while at work at Dow Chemical Co., Born in Gladwin on
August 1 0, 1932, he had spent his lifetime here. He graduated from Gladwin
High School in 1951 and served in the Army in Germany. He had been an
electrician at Dow Chemical Co. since 1953. He was a member of Gladwin
Fraternal Order of Eagles 3292.
Mr. Sherlock was married to the former Madonna Ladner on May 5, 1981, in Las
Vegas; NV. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Mike (
Lori) Anderson of Gladwin and Mrs. Kerry (Sheri) Brewer of Vernal Utah; one
son, Stephen of Gladwin; 3 step-sons, James Ladner of Midland, Dan Ladner of
Beaverton and Thomas Ladner of Victorville, Calif.; one step-daughter, Mrs.
John (Linda) Kern of Gladwin; 2 brothers, John and Donald of Gladwin; and 2
grandsons.
Services were held at 1 p.m. from the Matthews Funeral Home. The Rev. Father
George Artman officiated and burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. An
Eagles memorial service was held Sunday at 9 p.m. at the funeral home..
