Geneva Sheltrown

EX-RESIDENT DIES IN BAY CITY

   Mrs. Geneva Sheltrown, 59, of 303 Patterson, Bay City, passed away at Mercy Hospital, Bay City, Friday, morning after a brief illnes. She was born in Kingman, Ariz., Sept. 30, 1903, and was married to the Rev. James L. Sheltrown who survives her. They resided in Gladwin at one time while the Rev. Sheltrown was the pastor of the Assembly of God Church here. Mrs. Sheltrown lived many years in Bay City and also lived in Arizona where she was engaged in missionary work.

   Survivors besides her husband include four daughters, Mrs. C.B. Larson, Bay City, Mrs. Richard Armstrong, Midland, Mrs. Joseph Gambino, Ecorse, and Mrs. Eugene Bell, Benson, Ariz.; four sons, James, Bay City, Frank, Plainwell, Doyle, Battle Creek; and the Rev. Dwight Sheltrown, Almagordo, N., Mex.; 24 grandchildren and one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Bennett, San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. John Middleton, Globe, Ariz.

   Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church in Bay City with the Rev. A.W. Thomas officiating. Burial was in Edwards Cemetery, West Branch. Arrangements were in charge of the Stapich Funeral Home.
