William H. Shell
William H. Shell, 74, retired Butman Township farmer died suddenly Thursday of a heart attack. He was born June 6, 1886, in Sanilac County and had lived in Gladwin County 68 years. His wife the former Pearl Hooker, preceded him in death on August 10, 1948. Surviving are three daughters Mrs. Hazel Frye, of Plymouth, Mrs. Valda Greer, of Gladwin and Mrs. Bennje Ault, of Detroit; two sons, Grant and Donald of Gladwin; two sisters, Mrs. Maud Putnam, of Bay City and Mrs. Cora Southwell, of Afton; two brothers, Ray, and Carl of Drayton Plains; 28 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Hom. Rev. E. Fogelsonger and Rev. Alva Calkins officiated and burial was in Ridge Cemetery.
