Pearl Shell
Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Ethel shell, 59, were held Friday, August 13, at 2 o'clock at the Hockaday Free Methodist church with the Rev. F.K. Starr officiating. Burial was in the Ridge Cemetery.
Pearl Ethel Hooker was born on April 21, 1889, in Washtenaw county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hooker. She married William Shell, of Butman, in June, 1909 in Gladwin and has been a resident of the county for the past 50 years.
Surviving are her husband William; two sons, Grant and Donald, both of Gladwin; three daughters, Mrs. Valda Greer, of Gladwin, Mrs. Hazel Frye and Bonnie Shell, of Plymouth; one brother, Alva Hooker, and one sister, Mrs. Myrtle McDonald.
Pallbearers were Blaine Yeager, Herbert Leininger, George Dennings, Clarence Koontz, William Suter and Arthur Babcock.
