Donald Shell
Donald E. Shell , 75, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003 at MidMichigan Medical Center - Midland.
He was born in Wayne County on Dec. 7, 1927 to the late William and Pearl (Hooker) Shell. He married the former Doris Lange in Gladwin on Nov. 5, 1945; she survives him.
Donald farmed all his life in Gladwin County.
Surviving besides his wife Doris are eight children: Arley Dean (Glenda) Shell of Gladwin, Arnold (Lesley) Shell of Gladwin, Ronald Shell of Gladwin, Gwyn D’lee (John) Neal of Harrison, Arden (Jo) Shell of Gladwin, Deborah Jo Zelt of Alabama, Pamela Jo (Patrick) Shea of Gladwin, and Susan Fischer of Deckerville; 29 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Ardith Jean; one son, David Michael; one daughter-in-law, Marjanna Shell; three grandchildren, Theresa, Tony and Steven Shell; three sisters; and one brother.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, 2003 at the Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Smith presiding with burial in Ridge Cemetery. The family request memorials for the Hospice of
Gladwin. The Sisson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
