Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Melvin Seward

   Melvin D. Seward, born at Seward, Ohio, Jan. 15, 1854, died suddenly at his home in Tobacco township June 10, 1932, from heart disease, 78 years, four months and 25 days old, having been a resident of Gladwin county 35 years, his wife and three children surviving him. He was married to Eliza A. Barden Sept. 25, 1873, at Fairfield, Michigan. The children born to the union are George B. Seward; Bertha, wife of Elmer Quillet; and Lucy, wife of Claude Onweller.
   Funeral service was held Sunday and conducted by Rev. William McKimmy. The remains were interred at the Dale cemetery. Two brothers, Charles of Lyons, Ohio, and William of Jasper, Michigan, also survive him.
