Lyle w. Scott
Lyle W. Scott, 51, of 129 Dennis St. in the Wooden Shoe Village, died suddenly
Monday, March 24, at his home. Born in Durand on April 1, 1923, he moved to Gladwin County from
Flint in 1969. Mr. Scott was employed as a truck driver for Central Cartage in Midland and was a
veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II. Mr. Scott and the former Irma Gocha were married on May
9, 1970, in the First United Methodist Church of Gladwin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, one stepson, two step-daughters, six sisters, six
brothers, and eight grandchildren. Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Mathews Funeral
Home. The Rev. Byron Hatch officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemete.
