Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Virginia Schriber

   Virginia Schriber, 85, of Gladwin died April 6, 2005 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. She was born in Detroit on March 17, 1920 to Ross and Cora (Dorland) Shelman. She married Herbert Schriber in Detroit on Oct. 16, 1937.

   She was a homemaker and lived in Gladwin County since 1979, having previously resided in Livonia. She was a member of Gladwin Eagles Aerie 3292.

   Surviving are nine children, Geraldine (John) Orso of Beaverton, Gladys Haner of Gladwin, Sandy (Jack) Wilkinson of Beaverton, Nancy (Raymond) Skaggs of Arizona, Roy (Sue) Schriber of Ortonville, Linda (Mike) Dobbs of Rochester Hills, Thomas (Jeanne) Schriber of Livonia, Terry (Mike) Morehead of Redford Township, and Herbert Schriber of Gladwin; 16 grandchildren and 29 Great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

   She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Schriber; her parents; her daughter, Virginia; her granddaughter, Kimberly Persh; and two sisters, Irene Gennette and Elnora Shelman.

   Funeral services were held Saturday, April 9 at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin, with Rev. Karen Blatt officiating. Burial took place at Arbutus Cemetery in Beaverton.
