Clement Alphonso Schmitt

(01 AUG 1898 - 20 AUG 1956)

FUNERAL SET THURSDAY FOR C. A. SCHMITT

   BEAVERTON --- Funeral services for Clement A. Schmitt, 58, of Billings Township, Lockwood, Beach, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin. Mr. Schmitt died Sunday at his home following a seven - year illness. He was born August 1, 1898 in Chicago. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during World War I. He had been a resident of Gladwin County for the past 12 years. Prior to that he had lived in Saginaw.

   Mr. Schmitt married the former Doris Kirby on September 17, 1943 at Bowling Green, O. He is survived by his wife, one son, Gene at Canton, O., and one brother, Frank Schmitt. The Rev. Henry Hall will officiated at the funeral. Burial will be in Billings Cemetery.
