MAry Schlichter
Mrs. Mary Schlichter, formerly a resident of Wagarville, died Monday evening, Sept. 17, 1923, at seven o'clock, at the Masonic home at Alma. Mrs. Schlichter has been an invalid 25 years. Since the death of her husband, Wesley Schlichter, who died suddenly at Wagarville in 1911, she has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Schlichter, until five years ago when she went to Brown City, where she stayed with relatives until she entered the Masonic home two years ago.
She was aged 66 years, five months and 26 days. The body was brought to Gladwin Wednesday on the evening train, and taken to the home of her brother-in-law, Simeon B. Schlichter, where services were held Thursday afternoon, Sept. 20, at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. F. L. Burkey. Burial took place at the Ridge cemetery beside her husband, Wesley Schlichter.
