Earl Schaefer
Earl A. Schaefer, 76, of Beaverton, formerly of Midland, passed away May 11 at the Midland Hospital.
Earl was born Aug. 8, 1928 in Midland County to Emil and Lula (Burlingame) Schaefer. He married the former Helen Kocisky on Aug. 17, 1946 in Midland. Helen passed away in November 1996. Earl retired from Dow Chemical in 1981. He was a member of the Living Hope Fellowship of God Church in Albright Shores.
He is survived by four sons, Charles (Sue) of Beaverton, Tom (Kathy) of Midland, Emil (Michele) of Beaverton and Mark (Cheryl) of Sanford; three daughters, Julia (Rich) Nephew, Emily (Joe) Stevens and Kandy (Paul) Maxson, all of Beaverton; 10 grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren); one brother, Gordon Schaefer of Midland; and two sisters, Ann Zilinick of Sanford and Barbara Johnson of Freeland. Two brothers and one sister predecease him.
Services were held Monday, May 16 at the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin. Burial took place in Billings Township Cemetery.
