Raymond Schaard
Raymond F. Schaard, 86, of Gladwin died March 12, 2006 at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland after a long illness. He was born March 18, 1919 in Rhodes and lived in Gladwin County most of his life. He married the former Lois Blades in Beaverton on May 1, 1954. He was a veteran of the Army serving during World War II, and was a farmer and construction worker. He belonged to Billing Senior Citizens of Highwood Road. Surviving him are his wife, Lois Schaard of Gladwin; his nephew, Ervin Blades of Beaverton; two nieces, Judy Janice of Beaverton and Sheri Renas of Gladwin; and several other nieces, nephews and great friends. He was predeceased by his parents.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 16 at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin with pastor Jerry Wells officiating. Burial took place in Bentley Township Cemetery in Rhodes. Memorial contributions may be made according to the wishes of the family.
