Joseph Santa
Joseph D. Santa, 57, of 200 Saginaw Street, Beaverton, died Tuesday, June
13, at the Midland Hospital, following a short illness. Born in Beaverton, February 16, 1915,
Mr. Santa was a veteran of World War II. He lived some years in New York, returning to Beaverton
in 1952, and was employed by Dow Chemical Company until his retirement. He and the former
Dorothy Gibson were married January 24, 1944, in New York.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy of Beaverton; a daughter, Mrs. Linda King of Ridgefield, N.J.;
a son, Bruce David Santa of Hoffman, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Sophia Santa of Beaverton; five
sisters, Mrs. Anna Hunter of Beaverton, Mrs. Sylvia Kish of Gladwin, Mrs. Helen Leddy and Mrs.
Margaret Truck, both of Saginaw, and Mrs. Irene Schluckdar of Reese; and one brother, Albert of
Oneckama; and three grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home, in Beaverton, with burial in
Highland Cemetery, Gladwin.
