Alaire Rule
Alaire Rule, 85, of Gladwin, died Jan. 2, 2005 at home after a short illness.
She was born Sept. 8, 1919 in Almont to Arthur and Louise (Bard) Hart. She married Robert Rule in Flint on June 28, 1947. She was a Private Secretary with Central Wholesale and Grocery in Flint until she retired in 1948. She had lived in Gladwin County since 1975, having previously resided in Saginaw. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Memorial Center-Billing Club of Beaverton.
Surviving her are her husband, Robert Rule of Gladwin; daughters Barbara (Rodney) Claypool, Evelyn Rule, and Dorothy (Duane) Claypool, all of Gladwin; grandchildren Randall, Bethany, Jackie and Sandra; Great grandchildren Zachary and Nicoli; and nephew, Donald Hart. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5 at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin, with pastor Phil Hortop officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, Gladwin. Memorial contributions may be made to Senior Citizens Memorial Center.
