Joseph Rugenstein
Joseph H. Rugenstein, 81, of Beaverton, Michigan died April 26, 2006 at Saginaw Covenant-Cooper in Saginaw after a sudden illness. He was born June 21, 1924 to Theodore and Anna (Heirtier) Rugenstein of Detroit. He married the former Gayle Hickson in Valparaiso, Indiana on Aug. 21, 1961. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked as a truck driver for Genessee Welding in Pontiac. He lived in Gladwin County for 15 years, having previously resided in Waterford.
Surviving are his wife, Gayle Rugenstein of Beaverton; two daughters, Elaine (Stephen) Parent of Waterford and Lori (Paul) Haduck of Clarkston; one son, Joe Rugenstein, Jr. of Midland; six grandchildren, Kristyn, Chad, Stephen, Lyndsey, Anna and BJ; two brothers, Bernard (Judy) Rugenstein of Saginaw and Theodore (Dorothy) Rugenstein of Linwood; three sisters, Madeline (Robert) Reed of Lindwood, Anna Reed of Lander, Wyoming, and Pauline Meyer of Bay City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
A funeral service was held Saturday, April 29 at Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton.
