Wayne Ross
Wayne Ross, 69, of 4226 Arrowhead Trail, Enon, Ohio, died Saturday, Feb. 11, in University Hospital, Columbus, after a long illness. Born in Beaverton on July 16, 1908, he served with the Engineers in World War II and has retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was a member of the Enon VFW. Mr. Ross formerly owned a funeral home in partership with the late Floyd Hall in Gladwin, was a member of the Gladwin City Council, a former Gladwin City engineer, and coroner.
He is survived by his wife, the former Juanita Ford of Enon; one sister, Mrs. Betty Rogers of Saginaw; and 2 brothers, L.J. of Mt. Pleasant and Warren of Portland, Ore. Rites were held today, Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Richards Memorial Funeral Home, Springfield. The Rev. Frank Sparks officiated and interment was in the Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
