Ronald Ross
Ronald Ross, 60 of 2784 Knox Rd., Beaverton, died of a heart attack Wednesday evening, Sept. 8, at the Gladwin Area Hospital. Born in Beaverton, May 20, 1911, Mr. Ross graduated from Beaverton High School in 1929, and attended Saginaw Busines College. He was self-employed as an electrical contractor in Gladwin County until 1940 when he went to work at Dow Chemical as an electrician, retiring in June, 1969. He and the former Marion Mitchell were married in Birch Run Feb. 21, 1936. He was a resident of Gladwin County his entire lifetime.
Surviving are his wife, Marion; one son, David of Beaverton; four daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Maryann) Dull, and Mrs. Jerry (Sally) Hicks, both of Beaverton, Mrs. Maurice (Ronna) Hosfor, and Mrs. John (Sue) Malosh, both of Sanford; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David S. Ross of Beaverton; three brothers, Wayne of Enon, Ohio, L. J. of Mt. Pleasant, and Warren of Portland, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. William (Betty) Rodgers of Saginaw; and 17 grandchildren. One brother, Meredith, died in 1967.
Services were held Friday, Sept. 10, at 4:00 p.m., at the Mathews Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jack Gray officiating. Burial was in Dale Cemetery.
