Donald Ross
DEATH OF MR. ROSS SENIOR
HONORED PIONEER CITIZEN OF BEAVERTON
Donald G. Ross died at his home in Beaverton Tuesday night, in his 78th year. Mr. Ross had been in failing health for some time. Mr. Ross was known as the "Father of Beaverton," having with his sons established there in 1889 the extensive lumber and mercantile business now conducted by Ross Bros. at that place. When Beaverton was organized as a village president.
He had a kindly word for all and his friends were legion. Owin to failing health Mr. Ross retired from active business a number of years ago. He leaves fours sons actively engaged in lumbering; William, Ronald and Donald of Beavertn and George of Duluth. Mr. Ross was born in Scotland and came to this country when three years of age. Funeral services take place this morning at Beaverton and interment will be at Clare.
