Raymond Rose
Raymond B. Rose, 61, of Clio and formerly of Gladwin, died suddenly Tuesday,
Sept. 4, in Hurley Hospital, Flint. Born in Flint Jan. 25, 1923, he grew up in Flint and the
Gladwin area. Mr. Rose was retired from Buick Motors and a veteran of World War II. He moved
to Gladwin in 1976 and to Clio in 1978 where he made his home with his son, Terry. He was a
member of the Gladwin F.O.E. 3292. Mr. Rose was married to the former Lena Christensen June 25,
1946, in Flint. She preceded him in death July 23, 1978.
Surviving are 2 sons, Randy and Terry of Clio; 3 daughters, Mrs. Philip (Patricia) Taylor of
Clio, Mrs. Rudy (Dianna) Rangel of Flint and Mrs. Marty (Rexlyn) Gilliam of Arizona; and 11
grandchildren. Rites were held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev.
Willis Taylor officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery. Graveside services were by V.F.W.
Post 7303.
