Lena Rose
Lena M. Rose, 53, of 1091 Chappel Dam Rd., Gladwin, died Sunday, July 23, in the Gladwin Area Hospital.
Born in Jewel, Iowa, on September 10, 1924, she came to Gladwin County in June 1976, from Flint. She worked at AC Sparkplug and Buick Motors.
The former Lena Christenson, she was married to Raymond B. Rose on June 15, 1946, in Flint.
Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Randy of Gladwin and Terry of Mt. Morris; 3 daughters, Mrs. Philip (Patricia) Taylor of Clio and Mrs. Dianna Montrull and Mrs. Marty (Rexlyn) Gilliam of Flint; one brother, Walter of Skokie, Ill.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Wanda Markell and Mrs. Neva Beach of Mt. Morris and Mrs. Effie Dyer of Grand Rapids; and 7 grandchildren.
Services were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Locher officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery.
