Myrtle Roberts
Myrtle M. “Turtle” Roberts, 89, of Beaverton died at her home Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 She was born in Coleman on June 16, 1917, the daughter of Harry and Avilla (Slee) Finney.
Myrtle M. Finney married Carl E. Roberts on May 16, 1942 in Gladwin.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Roberts of Wisconsin; three daughters, Lucile (Albert) Kelley of Gladwin, Virginia ‘Ginny’ Courneya of Clio, and Rose (John) Burson of Beaverton; five grandchildren, Tina and Sherry Courneya, Dr. Kelly Jo Kelly-Davy and her husband Trever, Bill Courneya, and Chris Burson; two greatgrandchildren, Danny Burson and Skylar Davy; one brother, Gale “Mike” (Oral) Finney of Barryton; two sisters, Reva (Earl) Bills of Coleman and Bernice Finney of Bay City Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and seven brothers, Hector, John, Clyde, Ernie, Alton, Wayne and Bert Finney.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 8, 2007 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Phillip Hortop officiating. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman.
