CHARLES RICHARD


  Charles Richard, 91, of 344 W. Brown St., Beaverton, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Saginaw Veteran's Hospital following a long illness. Born in Ashland, Wisc., Nov. 23, 1893, he came to Gladwin County 27 years ago from Detroit. He was a veteran of World War I and served in the Coast Guard 23 years. He was a member of the Ashlar Masonic Lodge 91 in Detroit. Mr. Richard and the former Edna Westaway were married Dec. 25, 1926, in River Rouge.

  Besides his wife, he is survived by several neices and nephews. Services were held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Bruce Hatch officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
