Wayne Renkola
Wayne V. Renkola, age 75, of Gladwin, MI, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the MidMichigan Medical Center– Gladwin. He was born July 19, 1932 in Melvindale, the son of Reno and Joan (Kissela) Renkola.
Wayne retired from General Motors as a tool and die maker. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and lived in Gladwin since 1988. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Benjamin; and two sisters, Becky and Sarah.
He is survived by his wife Rita of Gladwin; son Robert (Mary) Renkola of Oakland; two grandchildren, Becky and Sarah; two sisters, Vivian Dekar of Fruitland Park, Florida, and Sonia Atkari of Taylor; and foster brother-in-law Michael (Diane) Trottier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated will be celebrated Monday, May 5 at 11a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin with Rev. Fr. John Cotter as celebrant. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4 from 2-8 p.m. at the Sisson Funeral Home. In accordance with Wayne’s wishes, cremation will follow services.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Wayne to the Sacred Heart Misson. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
