Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Robert Duane Remmert

   Robert D. Remmert, 50, of Beaverton, died suddenly Friday, Aug. 11, 2000 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Gladwin. Born Jan. 28, 1950 in Hazel Park, he lived in Gladwin County since 1992. Robert married Linda L. (Eaton), Oct. 26, 1974 in Beaverton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving 18 1/2 years before receiving a medical discharge in 1992.

   He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Board in Chicago, Ill.; life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Gladwin Post; and board member and coach of the Beaverton Youth Bowling League. Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Laina K. Byrd of Coleman, April M. Main of South Carolina, and Adrianne N. Remmert of Beaverton; one son, Christopher Robert of Kalamazoo; one sister, Susan Lampman of Gladwin; two brothers, Richard of Woodland and Ronald of Harrison; and nine grandchildren.

   Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton with Rev. Henry List officiating. Burial was in Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton. Military graveside rites were by the VFW Post 7303. Memorial contributions may be made to be used according to the wishes of the family.
