Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Carol Reger

   Carol A. Reger, 73, of Alger passed away at her home Feb. 11, 2008 after a long battle with breast cancer.

   She was born in Flint July 30, 1934 to Sherman and Lavina (Coutts) Osborn. She was the owner/operator of D&C Midway Party Store in Gladwin. She had lived in Gladwin County since 1976, previously residing in Marshall, Michigan.

   Carol married Donald Reger March 24, 1956 in Midland. He preceded her in death in 1995.

   She is survived by three daughters, Donna Reger of Midland, Harriet (Kevin) VanNortwick of Delton and Susan (Raymond) Podsiadlik of Alger; one son, Sherman (Heather) Reger of Jackson; 14 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; one son-in-law, Raymond Ball of Tekonsha; three sisters, Ruby (Corliss) Hackett of Midland, Jackie Osborn of Lake and Violet Woodworth of Arkansas; and two brothers, Martin (Nanci) Osborn of Shepherd and Burt (Jakee) Osborn of Midland. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; and one grandson, Christopher Simpson in 1985.

   According to the wishes of the family cremation will take place.

   A memorial service/luncheon will be held Saturday, Feb. 16,2008 at 1 p.m. at the Beaverton VFW Post #7303 in Beaverton. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

   Arrangements were made by Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin.
