John quinn
DIES SUDDENLY IN DETROIT
Jack Quinn, 71, died suddenly on Thursday evening in Detroit. Funeral services were held
on Monday morning from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Fr. George Artman officiated and burial
was made in Highland cemetery. Mr. Quinn was born in Doyle, Ireland, in 1881 and has made his
home in Gladwin for the past five years. He was a World War I veteran of the 20th engineers and
served overseas: also a member of the Gladwin VFW 3731 Post.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Mary Gale, of Detroit, and seven nieces and nephews. Two
brothers, Martin and Charles Quinn, of Gladwin, two sisters, Mrs. Kate Dugan of Gladwin and Mrs.
Victoria Hofvines of Buffalo, N. Y., are deceased. Pallbearers were Eldon Capling, Owen Grandy,
Albert Sampson, Donald Richardson, John Thorington and Norman Smith.
