James Pumfrey

FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN FLINT

   James A. Pumfrey, 47, of 802 Copeman, Flint, died August 31 in Hurley Hospital after a long illness. Born in Roscommon County on November 18, 1916, he was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Pumfrey lived in Gladwin County from 1935 to 1948, when he moved to Flint. He was a self employed painter.

   Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James Blasdell, of Lapeer and Mrs. Charles Bradley, of Flint; two sons, Ronald and Michael, both of Flint; two sisters, Josphine Woodring, Flint, and Mrs. Frank Howell, of Detroit; and one brother, William, of Minnesota.

   Services will be held Thursday morning at 11 a.m. from the Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Burdette Faulk officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
