Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Wilfred Primeau

   Wilfred (Bill) Primeau, 54, of 1995 S. Long Rd., Beaverton died Friday, Sept. 19, in the Gladwin Area Hospital. Born in Detroit on July 27, 1926, he went to work for Dow Chemical Co. in 1946 and retired August 1, 1980, as a Senior Plant Mechanic. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin County VFW and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mr. Primeau and the former Evelyn Dubey were married May 26, 1973, in Clare.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Wilfred of Bay City, Daniel of Beaverton and James of Gladwin; 2 daughters Mrs. Mark (Madeline) Cichocki of Bay City and Mrs. David (Elizabeth) West of York, Pa.; his mother, Mrs. Delina Primeau of Bay City; 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Norma Putvin and Mrs. Connie Budzynski of Cadillac; 4 brothers, Harry and Eugene of Auburn, Lawrence of Edenville and Clarence of Traverse City; one sister Mrs. Audrey Dubiel of Linwood; and 5 grandchildren.   Services were held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Father Joseph Castanier officiated and burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. A Wake Service was held at 7 p.m. and a Fraternal Order of Eagles Memorial Service at 8 p.m. Monday at the Mathews Funeral Home.
