Benjamin F. Post
Benjamin F. Post passed to his eternal reward
Sunday afternoon, Dec. 26, 1920, at the home of his
son, John H. Post, in this city. He was born March 16,
1838, in New York state. Sept. 18, 1866 he was married
to Ruhama M. Louthan at Vaughnsville, Ohio. Nine
children came to gladden this union, six boys and
three girls. Mrs. Post departed this life four years
ago, and since that time Mr. Post has made his home
among his children. He was a veteran of the Civil war,
having enlisted in the 118th regiment O.V.I., and
served his country from the beginning to the close of
the war.
Funeral services were held at the home, Thursday at
two o'clock, Rev. E. T. Smith officiating, using as a
text, "There the wicked cease from troubling, there
the weary are at rest." The body was taken Friday to
Paulding, Ohio, and laid to rest by the side of his
wife.
