BYRON POHLMAN DIES SUDDENLY


  Byron C. (Bud) Pohlman, 45, of Beaverton, died suddenly Monday while playing ball in Beaverton. Born in Saginaw on Dec. 19, 1922, he came to Gladwin County four years ago from Saginaw. Mr. Pohlman was a residential builder and owner of Pohlman Apartments. He was a member of the Beaverton Lions Club, American Legion Post 165, Beaverton F. & A.M. No. 453, Midland-Bay City Consistory and the United Commercial Travelers No. 43 of Saginaw. Mr. Pohlman was married to the former Geraldine Robinson on April 4, 1942, in Saginaw.

  Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Byron II and Thomas, both of Beaverton; his mother, Mrs. Fern Stenger of Saginaw; and one sister, Mrs. Betty Shaw of Southfield. Services will be held Thursday at the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee Long will officiated and burial will be in the Beaverton Cemetery. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held tonight (Wednesday) at 8 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home..
