Manville T. Pike
The funeral Thursday was largely attended at his late residence in the city, during which business places of the city were closed as a token of respect. Rev. E. T. Smite conducted short services at the house, after which a long procession, the Masonic brethren on foot, relatives and friends in autos, accompanied the body to Highland cemetery, where burial took place under auspices of Gladwin lodge F. & A. M., the ceremonies being conducted in an impressive manner by John C. Musser of Saginaw, former master of Beaverton lodge, who by the way was made a Mason by Mr. Pike when master of Gladwin lodge years ago.
The pallbearers were S. A. Berry, W. H. Dawe, Willard Walton, Wm. E. Woodward, W. H. Gilliland and W. J. Millard.
Relatives present from out of the city were Charles Pike, brother, of Auburn; Mr. and Mrs. Fred B. Pike of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Staffinger and Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Beaver of Detroit, Mrs. Edward Rouse of Traverse City and Mr. and Mrs. Eben Wright of Butman, sons and daughters with wives and husbands.
