Nora Phillips
Nora M. Phillips, 68, of West Branch, formerly of Gladwin, passed away Tuesday at her home. Nora was born June 8, 1936 in Madisonville, Kentucky to Hamalk and Selena Bowls Murphey. She married James Phillips on July 2, 1955 in Southfield, Michigan. She was a member of the O.E.S. White Clover Chapter #84.
Surviving are her husband, James; one son, Rick (Connie) Phillips of Harrison; one daughter, Deborah (William) Kotice of Ohio; her mother, Selena Murphey of Farmington; five grandchildren and three Great grandchildren; one brother, Bob (Mary Ellen) Murphey of Fenton; and two sisters, Faye (Bruce) Ramsay of Mayville and Wanda Johnson of Southfield.
Services were held Friday, Jan. 7 at the Sisson Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Tousley officiated and burial was in Rich Township Cemetery in Mayville. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands.
