Clistie E. Phillips
Clistie E. Phillips, 84, of Beaverton, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at home. Born Sept. 7, 1917 in Freeland, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Mable (Braley) Brewster. Clistie married Harold A. Phillips, June 7, 1933 in Saginaw. He preceded her in death June 21, 1998. Surviving are six sons, Don and wife Bonnie of Saginaw, Harold and wife Rosemary, Robert and wife Becky, William and wife Sonya, all of Beaverton, Larry and wife Judy of Lansing, and Lonnie and wife Betty of Shepherd; three daughters, Janet and husband Jake McKimmy of Fenton, Karen Kalahar of Gladwin, and Sharon Manee of Florida; 30 grandchildren; and 53 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 15 at the Beaverton Church of the Brethren with Pastor Ann Myer officiating Memorials may be made to MidMichigan Hospice of Gladwin County or the Beaverton Church of the Brethren building fund. O’Laughlin Funeral Home in Coleman was in charge of the arrangements.
