Jennie Pfaff
Jennie Pfaff, 96, of Gladwin, passed away Aug. 20, 2007 at Gladwin Pines Nursing Home following a long illness. She was born in Port Huron on March 1, 1911 to James and Margaret (Scully) Cosstick. She was a meat cutter for Big Bear Market in Detroit. She had lived in Gladwin County for the past 27 years, previously residing in Redford. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Gladwin and a member of United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. Jennie was united in marriage on Dec. 31, 1934 in Port Huron to Eldred Pfaff, who preceded her in death in 1975. She is survived by her niece, Wanda Smith of Ypsilanti; and her step-grandchildren, James, Robert, Eldred and Patricia. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; step-son, Edwin Pfaff; sisters; and brother. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Gladwin with Rev. Mary Jo Schuetz officiating. She will be laid to rest in Park View Cemetery in Livonia. Visitation is at the church Sept. 4 from 1 p.m. until the service begins. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Gladwin.
