Percy Petters
ILLNESS FATAL TO PERCY PETERS
Percy G. Peters, 60, died at his home in Gladwin Township today (Wednesday) following an
illness of one year. He was born on April 24, 1898, on the farm in Gladwin Township where he
lived his lifetime. On March 24, 1921 he was married to the former Miss Cassie Powley in
Hockaday. A veteran of World War I, he was employed by the Gladwin County Road Commission.
Survivors include his wife Cassie; his father, Gifford, of Gladwin; three sons, Fred, of
Pontiac, Wayne, of Flint, and Frank, of Gladwin, two daughters, Mrs. Luella Bosworth, of Flint,
and Mrs. Caroline Koontz, of Gladwin; two brothers, Everton, of Mansfield, Ohio, and Edgerton,
of Grand Ledge; two sisters, Mrs. Millie Dunn, of Beaverton, and Mrs. Nellie Stevens, of Garden
City; and 12 grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Miner Funeral Home. The Rev. R. E.
Fogelsonger will officiate and burial will be in McClure Cemetery.
