Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Steven Perry

   Steven Lee Perry, 31, of Gladwin, died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001 form injuries received in a semi truck accident. Born Dec. 16, 1969 in Clare, he was the son of Lee and Virgie (Sharp) Perry. Steve married the former Tamra Mathis, Sept. 27, 1997. He graduated from Gladwin High School in 1989, and after graduation he entered the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Desert Storm.

   He was a cross country truck driver for DART Advantage. He was five hours away from receiving his pilots license. Steve loved sailing and country music. Besides his wife he is survived by twin daughters, Sara Lee Ann and Samantha Morine Perry; two stepdaughters, Jessica and Amanda Haugen; one stepson, Casey Michaels, all of Sun City, Calif.; parents, Lee and Virgie Perry of Gladwin; grandparents, Sherman and Lydia Perry of Gladwin; two sisters, Shelley and Keith Bhohannon of Rocky Face, Ga., and Shannon and Matthew Novenske of Petosky; mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Connie Mathis of Canyon Lake, Calif., and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

   A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Community of Christ Church with Donn Pendleton officiating. Friends may call at the church form noon until the time of services. Memorials may be made out to "Wishes of the Family." Sisson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
