Sidney Lee Pero Sr.
Sidney was born July 21, 1945 in Gladwin to Francis and Edith (Shaw) Pero. He served his country in the U.S. Army Airborne during the Vietnam War. He worked and retired from Buick Motors in 1987 and moved to Gladwin in 1989. Sid worked for Pamida since 1995. He loved to fish and hunt.
Surviving are one son, Sidney Lee (Terri) Pero, Jr. of Gladwin; three daughters, Rachelle Lee (John) Kibby of Lewiston, Jennifer Lee (Anthony) Burns of Brighton, and Franine Lee Pero and fiance Arden Billington of Flint; 11 grandchildren; his companion, Dianne Weaver of Gladwin; and three brothers, Larry Pero of Harrison, and Don Pero and Ron Pero, both of Texas. Two brothers, Leo and Danny, and one sister, Linda, predecease Sidney.
A funeral service was held on Monday, July 24 at Sisson Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. The graveside service was under the auspice of VFW Post 11256.
