Earl Paxton
Earl (Don) Perkins, 84, of 1180 Dale Rd., Beaverton, died Friday, Sept. 16, in the Grand Blanc Convalescent Home after a long illness. Born in Sanford, Dec 16, 1903, he moved to Gladwin County in 1965 from Flint. Mr. Perkins was a foreman for Chevrolet Manufacturing in Flint and retired in 1965 after 40 years. He was a member of the Dale United Methodist Church. Mr. Perkins was married to the former Myrtle Snyder, June 28, 1934 in Beaverton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. C.L. (Sally) Bergman of Flushing and Mrs. Walter (Jean) of Flint; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mollie Carrigan of Sanford and Mrs. Blanche Miller of Clio; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Services were held Monday at 1 p.m. from the Dale United Methodist Church. the Rev. Janet Larner officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home
