Cecil J. Paxton
Cecil J. Paxton, 3204 W. Court, Flint, 73, died Friday, May 3, at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Monday, Mt. Vernon Chapel, Brown Funeral Home Rev. Huston Beaver offficiating. Burial was in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Mr. Paxton was born in Grover Hill, Ohio, September 15, 1900, and had been a resident of Flint the last 45 years. He had been employed by Chevrolet V-8 Engine Division for 42 years, retiring in 1965.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dempster Paxton of Beaverton and Gladwin. Surviving are: wife, Nellie R.; 3 sons; 4 daughters; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Carl of Georgia, Doyle and C.W., both of Gladwin, and C.D. of Flint; 6 sisters, Mrs. Beulah Holland of Ovid, Mrs. Mildred Knight of Davison, Mrs. Ruth Fortner, Mrs. Doris Kigar and Mrs. Viola Lennon all of Gladwin, Mrs. Zella Alexander of National City.
