Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Clifford Parks

   Clifford C. Parks, 60, of 420 Knox Rd., Beaverton, died Saturday, May 17, in the Midland Hospital Center after a long illness. Born in DeWitt May 12, 1926, he moved to Gladwin County in 1980 from Lansing. Mr. Parks retired Jan 31, 1980 after 30 years in the paint department for Fisher Body in Lansing. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Gladwin County VFW Post 7303. Mr. Parks and the former Lillian Rounds were married Dec. 16, 1961 in Jackson.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by a step-son, Clifford Dennison of Beaverton; on step-daughter, Mrs. Howard (Bonnie) McKimmy of Beaverton; 2 brothers, Vernon of Leslie and Wayne of Mason; 5 sisters, Mrs. Ruth Maine, Mrs. Viola McCutcheon and Mrs. Dorothy Lee of Lansing, Mrs. Thelma Hicks of Dimondale and Edna Parks of Mason; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

   Services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. Dr. John McDowell officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery with graveside military rites by the V.F.W.
