Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice

Leonard Parker

A TRIBUTE

On Tuesday afternoon friends and neighbors gathered at the Episcopalian church to pay their respect to the late Esau Parker, and from there follow his remains to their last resting place in the family lot in Highland cemetery. Mr. Parker was a man whose positive and upright character and intelligence will leave a lasting impression on the community in which he lived.

In 1880 he became a resident of Grouth township and continued as such until his death. Forl half a century he lived on the same farm and there his children grew to manhood and womanhood. His wife and a part of their children preceded him in death. At one time he served his township as supervisor, but his farm interested him more and he devoted his attention to developing a large acreage from virgin soil. His kindly salutation to his neighbors and friens and comment upon passing events are missed. May he rest in peace.
