Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Harriet Osborne

   Mrs. Harriet L. Osborne, 62, of 3415 Saiko Rd., Rhodes, died Thursday, Sept. 22, in St. Joseph Hospital, Ann Arbor, after a long illness. Born in Detroit, Sept. 1, 1926, she moved to Beaverton as a child where she was raised and then moved back to Detroit. Mrs. Osborne moved to Rhodes 5 years ago from Taylor. She was a machine operator for Burroughs Corp. in Plymouth, a member of the Wayne Moose Lodge 819, the UAW and the Midland VFW Post 3651.

   The former Harriet McKimmy, she was married to John Osborne July 4, 1947, in Detroit. He preceded her in death Sept. 22, 1979.

   Surviving are 2 sons, Rick of Wayne and Scott of South Lyon; 3 daughters, Mrs. Steve (Karen) Breece and Joyce Varner of Gladwin and Mrs. Lyn (Merlyn) Barrows of Garden City; 3 brothers, Jack McKimmy of Beaverton, Robert McKimmy of Gladwin and Thomas Spray of Garden City; 2 sisters, Mrs. Shirley Sammons of Westland and Mrs. Beverly Osborne of Wayne; 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A sister, Vera Booker, preceded her in death.

   Services were held Monday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Michael Clark officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery.
