HEART ATTACK FATAL TO FLOYD ORLOWSKI

   Services were held Friday for Floyd J. (Flip) Orlowski, 55, Gladwin insurance agent for State Farm, who died suddenly last Tuesday evening, Sept. 7, at the Sugar Springs Golf Course. He was stricken while lining up a putt on the 18th green. Mr. Orlowski was dead on arrival at the Gladwin Area Hospital despite the efforts of several golfers and the Gladwin County Ambulance crew. Mr. Orlowski was born in Alpena on February 5, 1927. He graduated from Alpena High School in June 1945 and was inducted into service. He was discharged in 1946. Mr. Orlowski was a Metropolitan Insurance agent in Alpena for nine years prior to coming to Gladwin in February 1964 when he became the State Farm Insurance agent.

   Mr. Orlowski was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and had served on the Gladwin Area Hospital board of directors. He was past president of the Gladwin Rotary Club, Gladwin County Chamber of Commerce and the Gladwin Development Corporation. He was married to the former Bernadette Seguin on March 26, 1951, in Alpena.

   Surviving besides his wife, are one son, James of Portland; 2 daughters, Eileen of Saginaw and Mrs. Norm (Patrice) Schumacher of Beaverton; 2 brothers, Dennis and Eugune of Alpena; and one sister, Mrs. Jeanette Filipiak of Woodridge, Ill.

   Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Father Noel Rudy officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery. A Wake Service was held Thursday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or Special Olympics. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
