Alvin Onweller
Alvin G. Onweller, 76, of Coleman died at home Wednesday, June 1, 2005. He was born Nov. 9, 1928 in Gladwin County, the son of Claude and Lucy (Seward) Onweller. Alvin married Donna B. Searfoss March 20, 1948 in Gladwin. He retired from the Midland County Road Commission in 1988 after 34 years.
He is survived by his wife Donna; sons, Leroy (Marla) Onweller and Rodney (Karen) Onweller, both of Coleman; daughter, Linda (Edward) Everett of Vassar; six grandchildren; four Great grandchildren; a brother, Glen Onweller of Beaverton; and two sisters, Beverly Brushaber and Claudine Sandula, both of Beaverton. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin and Robert; and sisters, Nina, Lorraine, Dorothy, Jessie, Velma and Betty.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 3 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. in Coleman, with Rev. David Bourns officiating. Burial took place in the Dale Cemetery in Beaverton. Memorials are suggested to the Geneva Hope United Methodist Church or Mid Michigan Hospice.
