James Ogg
James A. Ogg, 85, of 1132 S. McCulloch Rd.; Gladwin, died Monday, April 16,
at his home. Born in Ontario, Can., on September 3, 1893, he had lived in Gladwin County since
1895. Mr. Ogg was a farmer and veteran of World War I. serving with the U.S. Army in France. He
was married to the former Dora Campbell on June 7, 1939. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2
sons, Robert and James of Gladwin; 4 daughters, Mrs. Roger (Marjorie) Wolfe of Durango, Colo.,
Mrs. Ronald (Kathryn) Fiser of Gaylord; Mrs. Richard (Elizabeth) Bradford of Coleman and Mrs.
Barbara Thrush of Wickenburg, Ariz.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Fern Chatterton and Mrs. Sadie Walker of
Gladwin and Mrs. Ellen Burgess of Beaverton; and 9 grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Carter Miller
will officiate and burial will be in the McClure Cemete.
