Edwin Ogg
Edwin S. Ogg, 80, of 544 S. M-18, Gladwin, died Sunday February 19, at the Clare Nursing Home. Born in Gladwin Township December 11, 1897, he was the son of William and Mary Robinson Ogg. He had spent most of his life in farming in Grout Township and later worked a number of years for Huber's Dairy. Mr. Ogg and the former Phoebe Burket were married June 23, 1947 in Beaverton, and she survives him.
Other survivors are 2 sons, Wayne of Gladwin, and Clare of Midland; 3 daughters, Mrs. Irwin (Faye) Raven of Birmingham, Mrs. Mary Lopilato of Boston, Mass., and Mrs. Magaret Brubaker of Clare; one brother, James Ogg of Gladwin; 4 sisters, Mrs. Blanch Foor, Mrs. Fern Chatterton and Mrs. Sadie Walker, all of Gladwin, and Mrs. Ellen Burgess of Beaverton; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. from Matthews Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Locher officiating. Burial was in Grout Cemetery.
