R. Jack Nunn
R. Jack Nunn, 61, of 2276 S. Long Rd., Beaverton, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, in
the Midland Hospital Center after a long illness. Born in Lansing, April 30, 1926, he had spent
his lifetime in Gladwin County. Mr. Nunn was a foreman in the Power House for Dow Chemical Co.
and retired April 30, 1982, after 32 years. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a
member of the Daniels Band Church. Mr. Nunn and the former Sylvia (Cassiday) Roberson were married
Feb. 27, 1950, in Midland.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Joe Nunn of Gladwin; 8 step-sons, James, Bud, Ron
and Howard Roberson of Beaverton, Duane and Pete Roberson of Gladwin and Jerry and Neil Roberson
of Clearwater, Fla.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Sally) Goff of Overton, Texas; 46 grandchildren
and 43 great grandchildren. A step-son, Stanton Roberson died in 19.
