Peter P. Novak
Peter Paul Novak, 73, of Gladwin, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 1995 at his home
following a short ilness. Born Feb. 15, 1921 in Detroit, he moved to Gladwin from Detroit
in 1980. Mr. Novak was employed as a tool and die maker at the General Motors' Livonia Plant
before retiring Oct. 1, 1980. He was a member of the Gladwin Eagles Club Aerie 3292 and a
life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He married the former Joan Rugenski May 20, 1943
in Detroit.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Carol and husband Larry Benson of Detroit;
3 sons, Ronald and wife Linda of Detroit, Larry and wife Jan of Canton, and Jerry of Burlington,
Iowa; 2 sisters, Carmella Rugenski and Genevieve Palermo, both of Detroit; and 4 grandchildren.
Rites will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev.
Father Julius Spleet officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Gladwin. Visitation
will be at the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin after Tuesday evening. Those planning an expression of
sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.
