Robert Norman
Robert Junior Norman, 55, of Clarksville, Tenn. and formerly of Gladwin and Flushing, died Tuesday, April 26, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Nashville, Tenn. Born on October 28, 1927, he lived in Gladwin until moving to Flushing in 1970. He moved to Tennessee in 1982. Mr. Norman was a construction worker and owned R & J Rock Shop in Flushing. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Flushing VFW Post 5666.
Mr. Norman was married to Joyce Nopper on December 12, 1970, in Flint. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, James of Gladwin, Robert of Tennessee and John of Shephard; 3 daughters, Barbara Royea of Binghampton, N.Y., Janet Stone of Dade City, Fla. and Mary Pulcifer of Clare; 4 step-children, Richard Niver of Ft. Campbell, Ky., Michael Fisher of Fairview, Beverly Holder and Rose Polacek of Montrose; one brother, Clayton of Harrison; one sister, Roberta Mathews of Harrison; and 20 grandchildren.
Rites were held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Rossell Funeral Home in Flushing. Floyd Wehner officiated and burial was in Flint Memorial Park.
