Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
James Henry Norman

   James H. Norman, a Civil war veteran, 83 years old, died Feb. 12, 1930, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Malcomson, at Beaverton, after an illness of several months. Mr. Norman was born in West Virginia and was married June 17, 1869, to Katherine McKimmy; Seven children, Mrs. Mary Malcomson, of Beaverton, Mrs. Lillian Reynolds, of Harrison; Mrs. Bessie Vis, of Lansing; Mrs. Minnie Meach and Archie Norman, of Moddersville, and Henry Norman, of Montrose, were born to them. Funeral services were held at the Latter Day Saints church, of Beaverton, Saturday at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Perry Arnold. Burial took place at Harrison.
